US Secretly Makes New/Old Deal With Communist North Korea

US special representative for North Korea, Stephen Bosworth, ended a three day trip to Pyongyang Thursday raising hopes that the North would return to the talks which it quit in April.

The communist regime of North Korea and the Obama administration reportedly agreed to "continue to cooperate with each other in the future to narrow down the remaining differences”,  according to a nameless foreign ministry official quoted by the communist North’s official (and only) news agency.

ACORN and CITI Bank: A New Stock Market Tumble In the Offing?

Big Government has 20,000 pages of dumped financial information of a most personal nature from thousands of Citi Bank customers, and Bank of America Customers, whose information, in all details, was given over to ACORN in an apparent effort to help the banks get money from a program to help these individuals who were behind in their mortgages which aide was only given if individuals joined ACORN and paid monthly dues.

According to the article (url: http://biggovernment.com/2009/12/10/acorn-document-dump-citibank-jeopardizes-customers-for-acorn/) the banks gave over this information, including loan information, vital information like social security numbers, and credit reports, to ACORN. Next, ACORN would contact these borrowers who were behind on their bills and tell them that if they joined ACORN and paid dues for a few months ACORN would help them get assistance: the bank would get money and ACORN would get a fee from the bank for every borrower contacted if they could provide a valid, working phone number.

How could this cause a stock market tumble?

Imagine if you will 10,000 angry borrowers who discover that their information was not only illegally given to a third party but then thrown in the garbage by that third party. First, these violations of credit laws would go a long way towards having the entire loan dismissed, second the lawsuits and fines could ruin both Citi Bank and Bank of America, and, third, consumer confidence in general could be shaken.

Matthew Vadum, over at Capital Research, was on the G Gordon Liddy show (url: http://www.capitalresearch.org/blog/2009/12/10/vadum-on-g-gordon-liddy-show-today-talking-acorn/) talking about Citibank being poised to start finding ACORN again, a move that could only make things worse for the troubled mega-bank.

INDEPENDENT- The NEW Major Party?

After the stunning news that “Tea Party Candidates” would garner more support than the GOP, and, indeed “Undecided” edged out the GOP, with Democrats on top of their divided opponents (the GOP, Tea Party, and Undecided voters being in the clear majority) we now have a massive survey of over 5,000 people by Investor’s Business Daily that is equally shocking.

37% of voters are “Independents”, 35% are Democrats, and just 28% are Republicans. While Independents and Republicans number a clear majority of 65%, they are divided, at least partially because the GOP brand is still not on the mend, even though the Democrat, Liberal, and Progressive brands are mired in unpopular proposals and rampant spending, and increasing skepticism that the Democrats are any less corrupt than the GOP whom they decried as being champions of a “culture of corruption.”

GOP pushes back, proposes "jobs plan" that mostly relies on reducing taxes. Meanwhile, Obama is off to Denmark where the UN has declared that "we only have two weeks to save the planet". As of now, we have no word from the White House on the UN's statement that world leaders have only two weeks to save the world, a statement that many believe to be a scare tactic that goes beyond the pale, especially in light of evidence, from intercepted emails between climate control conspirators at East Anglia which detail blatant attempts to suppress dissent and cook the numbers, which in their raw form reveal, at best, an ambigious finding as to the actual climate change process and its causes.
